Memorial Tree Program

Give a gift that will last several lifetimes! Planting a tree in a city park or other City-owned land is a wonderful way to honor a loved one and provides a gift to the whole community. Trees are planted on City-owned land so everyone can enjoy the shade, beauty, and enjoyment a living tree provides.
Sponsored by St James Forestry Board, St. James Park Board, and the Parks & Recreation Department, the Memorial-Heritage Tree Program allows groups and individuals to donate trees to commemorate special events, honor individuals or agencies, or as memorials to loved ones to be placed on City-owned land.
Trees purchased through the program will be planted and/or placed in city parks, trails, and playground or other city property. The Parks & Recreation Department will plant the tree in the spring or fall, and you will receive a certificate suitable for framing. It’s a gift that can last through several lifetimes – a gift that keeps on giving.

Note: Gift Giver understands this is only a suggestion and the Parks & Forestry Board has the final say on all locations & sayings. Your gift is tax deductible.
